• High speed gas installed my gas hob around 2 years ago and from the first consultation visit up until receiving the COC certification everything went smoothly. I ended up having a bottle outside and they installed everything according the law, left everything neat and explained everything to me: how to operate the gas line etc etc. Those days I purchased a gas hob somewhere else and it wasn't a problem, they took the old electrical out and installed the new one. 3 days ago I ran out of gas (usually I buy somewhere else in bulk) and I remembered them. So I looked into their website and saw that they also offer gas bottles exchange or refill. The refill depends on which brand of bottle you currently have. So I loaded my empty one and off I went. Shop is easily accessible from Corlett Dr into a more or less secured property with enough parking. There was someone who could assist me immediately and told me that this kind of bottle gas could only be refilled. Price was R355 I had a look inside in the show room and had a chat with 2 guys (sorry I'm really bad with names ��) about a stove and/or combi model. I found both very professional and not once I had the feeling that they tried to sell me the most expensive brand. The lady's at the reception were very friendly and helpful too. They have a variety of everything from affordable to high end, so everyone can find their product I'm sure. You can get almost anything from them, not necessarily displayed in the showroom but talk to them and they can order for you.
• Give credit where it is due. We had one of our 19kg cylinders replaced and I was unaware that you get two different 19kg cylinders. The two different sized cylinders did not look aesthetically pleasing next to each other. I phoned them, they explained to me that you get the two different type of bottles and very kindly came and replaced the one they delivered with one that looked like our other cylinder.
• Honestly. The service isn't bad. I understand that 5kg need to be filled and cannot be exchanged. That's not a problem. There's a queue of people waiting to refill and I'll have to wait. That's also not a problem. Closing the door and not letting people in 20 min before closing time... I kinda can understand that cause it is near closing time and it is cold and people want to rest. But the way that it was conversed to me and telling me to go to builders Norwood where the person didn't even know whether they actually do refill, and the nonchalant attitude of the Indian guy that told me that.. honestly that's mildly annoying(this is where 1 star disappeared, hopefully it'll come back next time) . Luckily the other gentleman did let me add my 5kg tank for refill considering eishkom not working full time so I won't have to freeze.
